Meals at Grandma’s House

In Florida, my Colombian maternal grandma’s house used to be the headquarter for all family gatherings. Whether on birthdays, Thanksgiving, Christmas, or random dinners grandma always cooked amazing food. Once the food was placed on the table everyone’s expectant hands could barely wait to reach in the center like hungry vultures to scoop up healthy portions of rice, meat, and sides onto their plates before saying grace.
